Leading mining services group seeks a Senior Finance Manager to join their team in Johannesburg with responsibility for an African operation. Role description The successful candidate will be responsible for the full financial function of the operation, ensuring that an excellent internal control environment is maintained and financial performance is reliably and consistently measured and presented in a relevant and decision useful format. This job entails includes management and control of all administrative functions and staff, including, creditors, cashbook, fixed assets, general ledger and assets register as well as ensuring that Group policies and procedures are applied where appropriate. The successful will be directly responsible for the CAPEX functionality and make sure that the working capital is efficiently and effectively managed. Furthermore the candidate must be able to leverage their skill and experience in business case studies and evaluation in order to determine costing and price setting for the local enterprise. You will also be responsible for the ongoing identification of sources of risk and the implementation and monitoring of performance measures and controls in the areas of greatest risk. The preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with Group policies and the preparation of audited annual financial statements prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards is an integral part of the role. It will also include timely submission of all company taxation returns, and implementing tax efficient structures in conjunction with local tax advisors to ensure complete tax compliance in accordance with the legal requirements of the relevant. Who we're looking for The ideal candidate be in possession of a recognised professional financial qualification ( CA, ACA, CPA, CIMA). In addition they will have at least 5-8 years of solid Finance Management experience, overseeing the full finance function and be fully acquainted with price setting, costing, controlling and tax compliance within a manufacturing environment.
