Title IT Systems Engineer - Johannesburg
Description Systems Engineers required to join well-established niche I/T Company that trades predominantly in Sub-Saharan Africa in the Enterprise Management space. The successful candidate will be very experienced and technically-literate with a good understanding of working in Africa, have valid travel documents and be prepared to undertake extensive travel. A sound knowledge of desktop security, software distribution, monitoring, discovery and backup devices will be a plus, ideally with Tivoli, HP Open-View, EMC Smarts and Itil or similar. Must also have an in depth understanding of Unix, Sun, U/X and Microsoft. Minimum Requirements 5 – 10 years proven and successful experience in hardware and software support Must be able to implement software and hardware solutions A good understanding of business practices Able to work completely of own initiative A bonus would be an ability to speak French, Portuguese and Afrikaans A good understanding of channel and distribution partners
